Hanbang Intelligent Upgrades Its Phosphine Gas Generator to Solve Long-standing Industry Pain Points

The phosphine generator uses aluminium phosphide tablets as raw material and carries out a hydrolysis reaction inside the equipment to produce phosphine (PH3) fumigant on site. The gas is mixed with carbon dioxide and delivered into the grain silo through a dosing pipeline, making the generator the core dosing equipment for outside-silo circulation fumigation.

Phosphine kills stored-grain pests such as maize weevil, lesser grain borer, red flour beetle, booklice and mites, including eggs, larvae and adults, and is effective against resistant strains. It is used for the fumigation of grain, oilseeds, tobacco and Chinese medicinal materials in storage. Unlike direct dosing on the grain surface, the generator produces gas outside the silo and works together with the circulation system to let the gas penetrate the grain bulk quickly, reducing dead corners and ensuring an effective kill throughout the silo.

Traditional phosphine generators, however, have long suffered from three pain points: difficult dosing and cleaning, easy blockage of the feeding system, and no measurement of the amount of chemical used. This seriously affects both the efficiency and the safety management of fumigation operations in grain depots.

Hanbang Intelligent has therefore carried out a targeted upgrade of its phosphine gas generator:

● Large-bore visual hopper: a φ500 mm feeding opening gives ample operating space. The hopper lid can be opened completely so that the chemical and residue inside can be seen directly, and staff can reach into the cavity to clean residue simply and efficiently.

● Vibration anti-blocking feeding system: vibration feeding replaces the screw conveyor, so tablets fall intact. The feeding bore is five times that of conventional models, eliminating tablet breakage, sticking and equipment blockage.

● Intelligent weighing and monitoring system: a built-in high-precision load cell and a touch screen display the total dosed weight and the remaining chemical in the hopper in real time, making dosing data visible and traceable and enabling digital control of fumigation dosing.

The equipment is suitable for outside-silo circulation fumigation of flat warehouses and vertical silos. With controllable dosing, easy maintenance and traceable data, it provides safe, efficient and intelligent hardware support for grain storage fumigation.
